Information we handle

CategoryWhat this includes
Account and sign-inUsername, account identifier, account creation date, a salted password hash, and session records used to sign you in.
Saved game and activityYour avatar and outfits, rooms and furniture, inventory, in-game balances, progression, rewards, businesses, production, trades, purchases, creator submissions and related records.
Social featuresFriend connections, room access and visit requests, online presence, activity groups and messages you send in shared rooms.
Contact verification and referralsIf you provide them: your email address, phone number, verification status, verification attempts and referral relationships. Verification records can include hashed contact identifiers.
Google Play purchasesProduct identifiers, purchase tokens or their hashes, subscription status and expiry, and information needed to validate and associate a purchase with your game account. Payment-card details are handled by Google Play rather than the game’s purchase verification service.
Connections and securityYour IP address, connection and request information, timestamps and service error logs. These are used to run and protect the service.
Support correspondenceYour email address and the account details, issue description and attachments you choose to send to support.

Some play data and settings are stored on your device, including cached room saves, pending actions and a protected sign-in session. Local play without an account does not create a server account. When you connect to online play, the game sends the information needed for that service.

How and why we use information

We use account and gameplay information to provide the service you request: signing you in, saving your world, running social features, completing trades and validating purchases. Where data protection law requires a lawful basis, these uses are necessary to perform our service agreement with you.

We use connection, verification and transaction records for our legitimate interests in protecting accounts, preventing abuse, investigating errors and resolving disputes. We consider the impact on your rights when relying on those interests. We also process information where required by law.

When you choose contact verification, we use the address or number you provide to deliver and verify a code and operate the related feature. Optional device notifications depend on your device permissions. Where a use requires consent, you may withdraw that consent; withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out lawfully.

Who can see your information

Other players may see your username, avatar, online presence, public profile and achievements, messages in shared rooms, and the rooms, businesses, market listings or creations you share. Your private saved world and sign-in credentials are not part of your public player profile. Avoid sharing personal or sensitive information in public messages or creations.

Information is handled by the service providers needed to deliver Pixel Paradise, including hosting and database providers and the email provider used for support. Google Play processes purchases and subscription verification. Where enabled, email verification is delivered through Resend and SMS verification through Twilio; the chosen provider receives the contact details and message needed to deliver your code. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or necessary to investigate misuse or protect rights.

Provider processing can involve countries outside your own. Where applicable law requires transfer safeguards, these must be in place for the relevant provider and transfer. Contact us for details of the providers and safeguards relevant to your account.

How long we keep information

We keep account and saved-game information while your account remains open so you can return to your progress. You may request deletion at any time. The length of any further retention depends on the purpose of the record, whether a request or dispute is ongoing, and any applicable legal obligation.

Support correspondence is kept for handling your request and necessary follow-up. Security and transaction information may need to be retained for investigating abuse, resolving disputes or meeting legal obligations. Any backup copies, where maintained, are subject to the service’s backup retention arrangements. Ask us for the retention periods applicable to your information.

Current sign-in sessions expire after 30 days, and verification codes after 10 minutes. Expiry stops their use; it does not by itself mean that every related database or log record has been erased.

If information needs to be retained after an account-deletion request, we will explain what is retained, the reason, and the applicable period. The account-deletion request covers associated personal data as well as the account itself.

Website, local storage and external links

These information pages do not use advertising cookies, analytics scripts or third-party fonts. Opening the game, Google Play or another external link takes you to a separate service with its own data handling. Website hosting may process connection information such as IP addresses and request logs.

The contact forms prepare an email locally for you to review and send. Filling them in does not submit information to our game server, and the forms do not save entries in browser storage. Once you send an email, it is handled by your email provider and our support email service.

Security

The game uses salted password hashes, protected local session storage and authenticated server requests to help protect accounts. Online communication is designed to use encrypted connections. Access to personal information should be limited to those who need it to operate the service. No storage or transmission system can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may ask to access or correct your personal information, erase it, restrict or object to certain uses, or receive a portable copy where applicable. You can contact us without signing in to the app. We may need proportionate information to confirm your identity before acting on a request.

To request deletion of your Pixel Paradise account and associated personal data, use the account deletion request. Removing the app alone does not delete a server account. Google Play subscriptions are managed separately through Google Play.

You may raise a concern with your local data protection authority. In the UK, you can contact the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Children and young people

Parents or guardians can contact us with a concern about a child’s account or information. Public chat and sharing features can reveal information to other players. Please avoid sharing real names, home addresses, phone numbers or other sensitive personal details in the game.

Changes to this notice

We will update this page when the service’s information handling changes. The date above identifies the latest version. Material changes will be communicated through an appropriate service channel where required.
